According to this - Configure Chrome for Test Studio Automation | Progress Test Studio (telerik.com) the latest version of test studio does not require the Chrome Browser extension.  I have unticked the 'Use Browser Extension (Chrome) checkbox in the project settings but when I run my tests it is still trying to load up the extension?

Any ideas why this is?

Thanks

Adrian

Hello Adrian,

I assume that you are executing your tests as test lists locally or remotely. In this case, you need to configure the Test List Settings to run without the Chrome Extension, because the project settings do not apply to them. To do that, you can follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Test Lists tab.
  2. Select the test list that you want to configure.
  3. Click Edit Setting button in the Test Studio ribbon.
  4. Switch to the Web tab.
  5. Disable "UseBrowserExtension" configuration (see attached screenshot).
  6. Click OK button and save your project.

I hope the above suggested steps help you resolve the issue you encountered. Otherwise, please share more details on how you execute the tests and what configurations you are using.

Thank you for starting this discussion.
