Hello,
We just start test automation for one of our clients and we have the following problems.
We want to compare the values of same table in two different sites. We need to get them from site 1 and check if they are the same in site 2.
Another problem is that one of the columns contains dynamic values which are updated in 30sec.
Do you think that this can be done with TestStudio?

Hello,
I think there is a simpler way how to do this, but how i would approach this is:
1.) keep extracting and checking the value from the site that changes every 30 second.
2.) as soon as the value would change, i would navigate to the other site and extract value from there and compare them.
It is not a perfect sollution, but i think it should work

My sollution was for when both sites update at same time. If only one updates, and the other is static, this wouldnt solve it.
If both update at different times, things could get complicated i think

Hi Jerne,
I am glad to hear you have found a solution.
In case that both sites dynamically change the data you should find some static attribute to use for the verification.

@Jerne, please excuse me for misunderstanding and thank you for your input.
@Gergana, did Jerne's approach work for you? You should extract the value from the first table and compare it with the second table.

Hi Boyan,
I’m not sure if Jerne’s suggestion helps because I saw another problem. One of the sites is developed by frames and some of them are not recognized by TestStudio (in Chrome browser – our application working only on Chrome). I tried to fix my problem follow this article “http://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/user-guide/recording-tests/frames.aspx” but
the issue is still exists.
Do you know how we can fix this issue?

Hello Gergana,
Which version of Chrome do you use? We have some issues that was introduced when Google released Chrome 36. We have already released a fix. Please download and install our latest internal build 2014.2.807 to obtain the fix.
If the issue persists please send us the execution log.
A Jing video demonstrating the issue may also help us to better understand what is happening.
