Create Project Error

Hello Chelsea,

This sounds like some sort of network share permissions problem, not a Test Studio problem. What happens if you manually try to create the folder structure "H:\Test Studio Projects\TestProjects3\Data"? Does this work? If not you need to get in touch with your network administrator and correct your permissions setting on that drive.

I tried manually creating the folders and it does not work. I also uninstalled the program and tried installing as an administrator. We do not have a network administrator for this application. Is there anything else you can think of which might help?

Hi Chelsea,

I would not expect installing Test Studio as administrator to make any difference. Only a user with administrator level rights can install applications, any application not just Test Studio.

First, am I correct in assuming that drive letter H represents a network mapped drive? Test Studio has no problem using any drive letter, including H for storing the test project. However your user account must have permission to create folders on this drive letter. The test I asked you to do proves that your user account does not have this permission. This is a network issue and only someone who can adjust network permissions in your environment can solve this problem.
