Hi,
There can be hundreds of elements added to the element explorer in the project. Is there an easy way to find the element you are looking for without having to scroll through the list of all the available elements? Both Elements Explorer window and Project Elements Selector window does not have a way to sort or find elements.
Thank You,
Dipti

Hello Dipti,
Yes, there is a quick and easy way to locate the element in question. Highlight the test step that is associated with the element in the Steps pane, and that element will be scrolled to and indicated with a yellow arrow in the Elements Explorer.
The good news is that our R2 2011 release will introduce additional search and filtering options for the Elements Explorer. Please see our product Roadmap page for more information.

Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your response. I was talking about the elements that were not in the test step. Also in Property window - "Primary Target" - It is difficult to find the element in "Project Elements Selector" window.

Hello Dipti,
I'm confident our R2 release will enable you to find any element easier. Not only can you perform a Live Search of the entire element repository, you can also check the "Active" box to only display active elements in the currently loaded test.
All the best,
Anthony

Anthony,
We are scripting on Silverlight application and all elements are under one Silverlight object:
is it possible to have logical grouping of elements?
thanks,
Mukul

Hello Mukul,

This is a logical grouping of elements based on how the Elements Repository Works. If all elements were recorded on the same page and in the same Silverlight object, they will all be nested under the same SilverlightApp node in the Elements Explorer.
