Hi,

First I appologise I do not know which control this should belongs, hence I put this in general discussion.

I am looking for a control which can achieve the following:

- Freeze Column Header
- Freeze Column(s)
- Drill down on Column Header
- Drill down on Row

Attached is the example of report I would like to do in Silverlight.

Currently I know there is the Reporting Viewer, however it does not support Freezing on header. So I cannot choose this option.
The closest I found is the TreeVewList and the DataGrid. However both does not support drill on the header.

Please help and let me know any idea how to achieve this if possible.

Many thanks.

Hi ,

Indeed RadGridView and RadTreeListView  are the closest controls to your requirements.
Unfortunately the feature you are mentioning "drill down on header" is not yet available in both of the controls. Since I guess such report would require printing , I believe our Telerik reporting must be also considered .

Thanks Pavel.

Yes, Telerik Reporting is the closest thing I can get.

But it does not support Freezing of Header.
So this is still not 100% what we wanted.

I would like to know is this possible to build custom controls? using canvas, panels, textblocks.....and lots of templates perhaps?

Thanks for replying.

Hello,

Looking at the screenshot you've provided in your first post, what you're after comes pretty close to our CrossTab demo report. Depending on your exact goal, the ColumnHeadersPrintOnEveryPage Property might help you achieve your requirement as a frozen column header. Install Telerik Reporting, open the Visual Studio examples and play around with the CrossTab demo report to get an idea of how it operates.

Best wishes,

I need to freeze columns in a telerik report crosstab, where do I go to freeze the columns?  I am looking at the Product Sales report file but it's a challenge to hunt down the setting from the report designer.

Hello SL,

We have introduced Table Header Freezing with version R2 2020 (14.1.20.513). The feature is available for the Html5-based Web Report Viewers. See the referenced article for details.
