Is there a way to enter a comment when Test Studio checks in a test file?  Currently it checks in without a comment and overrides rules we have for entering comments.  We have a process that copies down the project from TFS into a share, but this doesn't happen with check ins that do not have comments.  Or is there a separate workaround we could use, i.e. use a static string containing the project name and not necessarily enter specific details about our chagne?

Thanks!

Hello Alan,

The Test Studio TFS Plugin check-in dialog should provide a 'Checkin comment' field. Have you tried using this field and run into issues? Or is the issue that you would prefer to use existing rules rather than this manual field? If this field is missing, please provide a screenshot. If you have used this field, and it does not behave as expected within TFS, please provide a fresh application log for this behavior. If your goal is to use existing check-in comment rules, please let us know how these are defined, and we will do our best to identify a workaround. Thanks for helping us advise you.

All the best,

Wow, we completely overlooked that field and didn't know it existed in the check-in dialog.  Our process worked when adding a comment using this field.

Thanks for the help!
