In the past I could download the test steps description by:

Selecting a completed test run on the Results page

Opening one of the scripts from that result to display the steps

Export to Excel would download in .xls format the step number, description, result, and failure info

Today that same export only downloads in .xls format the step number, result, and failure info

I need to capture the description for each step for my archive

Hello Larry,

I reproduced the same misbehavior and tested it against older versions of Test Studio. It looks like it is a regression from version 2019.2 and I created a public bug report on your behalf. We will investigate and fix that in the upcoming releases. You can follow the bug report to get notifications for its progress.

I am sorry for the caused inconvenience with this issue. As a temporary workaround, you can export to HTML or XML formats and gather the data from there. I hope this approach will help you archive the necessary information. You can also check the Executive Dashboard feature for results and reports from remotely executed test lists in a scheduling setup.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our knowledge. As a small token of gratitude, I have updated the Telerik points in your account.

Regards,
