I am brand new to Test Studio and getting up to speed on Web Testing.

I am watching one of the Intro videos, and it talks about how to use UID for finding controls.

What is UID?

I know it means UnqueId, like a GUID, but where is this coming from?  There is no native html attibute for this.  Is this a IE only feature?

Is this still the recommended way to find controls?

Hi Greg,

Unfortunately you missed to attach or share a link to a video. Though unique IDs are not a native html attribute but is often used across web applications for easier maintenance. Test Studio generates automatically find logic based on the application specifics. It could be also modified for each element as per your needs.

Please share some specifics tor the application you automate if you would need further assistance. Thanks in advance.
