Hi Samantha,

Could you please install our latest internal build (1217) and give that a try.

You can download it from here.

Also please do the following suggestions:

1. Clear the FF cache

2. Delete manually  the local user FF cache files from here:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ - the temp generated folder within.

After all please calibrate the browser.

Let me know the results.

Hi Boyan,

Unfortunately, still having the same issue. Action items I did:

Installed TestStudio_Ultimate_2015_3_1217_1_Trial.msi
Clear cache FF version 43.0.2.
Calibrated all browsers
Ensure
FF add-ons  enabled -Telerik Test Studio Recorder 2015.1.1103.0
Ensure
FF add-ons  enabled -Telerik Test Studio Automation 2015.2.918.0

I did restarted pc to try again and still cannot.

Hi Samantha,

It seems that the recorder extension is outdated. It should be version 2015.3.1103.

Please remove it and install the latest one.

Here is how to achieve it.

Let me know if that works for you.

Hi Boyan,

Unfortunately still the same issue after upgrade. From your link, there is one extension "Telerik Testing Framework - Firefox Http Client" that my FF don't have. Is this needed? If yes, please guide me

I only have telerik extension as below

1) Telerik Test Studio Automation 2015.2.918.0
2) Telerik Exploratory Testing Extension 2015.2.918.0
3) Telerik Test Studio Recorder 2015.3.1103.0

Hello,

Please try the following:
- Uninstall Test Studio
- Check Firefox for remaining Telerik add-ons - if any please remove them manually
- Check the product installation folder (default is Program Files x86/Telerik/Test Studio) - if any files have been modified the installer will keep them there; please delete the folder
- Install the latest build again.

If you still experience the problem please check for any additional add-ons - we have seen conflicts with 3rd part add-ons in the past. If so you can try disabling each add-on (and restarting Firefox) one by one to see which is causing the problem.

As to the screenshot in our documentation - that seems like the old name of the add-on, which we will fix. Thanks for pointing that out!

Hi Konstantin,

Still on and off not working after re-install and disable the others add-on. I think this is the tool behavior and need to keep rerun if failed...

Hello Samantha,

We are really out of ideas what may cause this behavior. We have never seen this before.

It is probably something specific to your machine.

In order to prove it could you please try installing Test Studio on some other machine with FireFox and give that a try.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Samantha,

In this case you have an option to reset the machine to its default or something similar to this.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
