Highlight Option is not visible

We are using WPF application. Inside application a pop up is appearing and we need to verify the texts in the pop-up. Highlight option is not appearing while hovering over the text. It seems all the Highlight options are appearing behind the pop-up. We couldn't see Highlight options while recording.

Hi Sreelakshmi,

I am sorry to hear you experience any troubles and will assist you with sorting this out. 

Based on the description it seems that the popup is set to be the foremost on the desktop and thus takes the focus and visibility of the highlighting menu. Thus, you see the popup only and not the recoring menu. The only option to investigate and explore this will be to have the application installed on our end and reproduce the misbehavior in our development environment. So, if you can share it, please, feel free to submit a private support thread to continue the conversation. 

In the meantime you can use the following workaround:

  1. Record click actions for the element from the popup which you need - this adds a step and the element in the Elements Explorer.
  2. Once the element is present in the test you can use it to add the verification steps from the Step Builder.
  3. You can either delete or uncheck the click step used to add the element.
