Hi,
In my test recording project, there are two Silverlight elements, SilverlightApp and SilverlightApp0.
But in fact there should only be one, all recorded from the same process.
I don't know why the same page get recorded into two elements, but keeping them both instead of one will have negative impact on the maintenance. Is there any way for me to consolidate them into one?
Thanks

How to avoid recording the same page into different elements?

Hello Ohsha,
Ivaylo

Since you've already recorded your test to make elements merge just change the page node property to FullPath instead of FullPathAndQuery (shown in screenshot FullPath.jpg).
To make the change for future recording change the setting in Recording Options (shown in screenshot Elements Page Compare Mode.jpg).

Thanks for your answer Ivaylo, great tips.
However, after following the following step,
Since you've already recorded your test to make elements merge just change the page node property to FullPath instead of FullPathAndQuery (shown in screenshot FullPath.jpg)
to have changed the page node property of my site, the existing PathAndQuery are still there (SilverlightApp and SilverlightApp0), and the recorded test steps are still pointing to different PathAndQuery (under either SilverlightApp or SilverlightApp0).
Any more knobs that I should twist?
Thanks

Hi Ohsha,
Cody
the Telerik team
To assist you better on making the elements merge properly we really could use a copy of your test project for analysis. Please put the entire test project folder into a .zip file and attach that. If you are concerned about security (this is a public forum) you can create a new support ticket which only you and us in technical support can see and attach the file to that ticket. Once we receive the project we'll be able to open it up and determine exactly what you need to do to make the elements merge the way you want.
