I have a tree which loads all its items (with the exception of the root nodes) dynamically. When I record a test (Web Test) using Test Studio, the recorded 'expand click' shows up as a 'click' on a 'span' element. When I then execute the test, the click never happens.
What am I doing wrong?

Hello Matt,
Thank you for reaching us out.
Test Studio provides built-in translators for the Telerik controls which currently are available in record mode for Internet Explorer only. The good news is we are working on the implementation of these for Firefox and Chrome recording as well.
Except including the feature for all supported for recording browsers we will also extend the amount of Telerik controls covered by these translators. All these new features will be available with our upcoming release which is planned for the end of May.
I hope the above information will worth it to continue exploring Test Studio. In case you still face troubles with recording in IE as well I would like to kindly ask you to share a sample app or point to a sample on our Kendo demo pages which I could use for testing on my end.
Please do not hesitate to contact me back! Thanks!
Yes, that works. I think it would be good to do a video on this subject as it is not totally clear, that the recorder will not record the Telerik control interactions correctly. One would expect that a Telerik tester would record, out of the box, the Telerik controls correctly...

Hello Matt,
Thank you for the feedback. I will keep this in mind and will update the documentation accordingly - possible with a video as well.
Though it is important to note that with our upcoming release the translators will be available for all browsers so part of the confusion will be handled.
Anyways, if you need anything else I will be happy to assist! Thanks once again!
