I want to start a test by opening up Windows File Explorer, navigating to my desktop folder, navigating to another folder and then launch an HTML form in IE. I'm not sure how to do that. I've searched the documentation but I'm not finding much. Thanks!

Hello Misty,

Thank you for choosing Telerik Test Studio.

Telerik Test Studio is a testing tool designed for web based technologies as HTML and Silverlight, and WPF application explicitly. Any other desktop applications are not supported and could not be automated within Test Studio tool.

However Test Studio gives you the opportunity to implement any kind of coded automation out of the web/WPF application using its coded step feature. Although this is beyond our product's support I searched the web and at the bottom of this article you might find useful in your case information.

Thank you for the understanding and do not hesitate to contact Telerik Support Team in case of any difficulties using Test Studio.

Wish you great day ahead!

Regards,

Thank you. Your response made sense and I was able to take a different approach.
