My Problem is, i want to try the Visual Studio Extension.

But there is no extension in Visual Studio installed.

The Visual Studio version is: 15.9.11

.NET Framework is: 4.7.02556

Test Studio Version is 2019.1.408.0

Hello Fabian,

Thank you for sharing details about your environment.

Test Studio integration requires Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise version. Additionally, as of Visual Studio 2017 you need to ensure that Testing Tools Core Features component is installed. You can find it under Debugging and Testing section.

In case Testing Tools Core Features was missing, you need to uninstall Test Studio and install it again. This should enable the the extension for you.

If there is still an issue with Test Studio extensions in Visual Studio, please filter your existing extension with a keyword "Telerik" and share a screenshot of the results. I would like to see if there are any duplicated extensions or if some of them seem to be corrupted.

I hope the above details will help you with this issue and we manage to resolve it quickly.

Hello Fabian,

I see that Testing Tools Core Features (Testtools für Kernfeatures) is installed, but the Telerik Test Studio extensions are missing. At this point I will suggest your to uninstall Test Studio completely and install it again. Please check the additional details below.
  • Close all instances of Visual Studio before uninstall and install of Test Studio.
  • Make sure that your account has administrator rights and other applications are not preventing the installation of Visual Studio plugins.
  • Start the installation and check if the Visual Studio plugin is included (step 4 in the article).

In case you have already tried the above steps, please check the Extensions folder and its subfolders (located in %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\[VSversion]\Extensions) for the Telerik extensions. You can share screenshots of those folders for a better overview.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.
