Hey all, I'm a new user and I'm trying Telerik Test Studio for Automated Mobile Testing.

I downloaded an APK to my Android Galaxy S6 Device (Telerik Examples APK from Google Store) and started recording some simple tests that included just a simple tap or two taps on an element.

I'm running into this error any time I run a test with a 'Tap' action. I've attempted to add wait steps before and in between my actions and still run into this issue. Any ideas?

ERROR: "android.app.Contextlmpl cannot be cast to android.appActivity"

I'm not sure what additional files would help to debug this issue. Please just let me know if there is anything else I can provide. Thank you!

Hello Josh,

Please note that the applications from Google Play are deployed in a production mode and are considered as a third party apps as of our point of view. Please be informed that the built-in configuration is not supported in this case. Here you could read further details about configuring an Android app

Since the application you are trying to test is a Telerik one I will provide you a build in debug mode so that you could configure and then test it. With this build of the app you will be able to use the Built-In configuration for your convenience. Please download the apk file from this dropbox folder

Let me know if further assistance will be required.
