Hi !!

First of all I have to say I don't speak english very well so sorry if you don't understand exactly what I want to say. I'll try to explain myself as well as I can.

I have seen in other discussion something about load testing, and now I'm looking for some information about that for my job. I would like to know if there is an ideal response time for logging tests. For example, I'm trying to logging in an app with 100 users at the same time, and I don't know if one second of response for each user could be considered a good response time. Is there any 'rule' for that?

Thanks and I hope you could understand me.

Regards.

Chris.

Hello Chris,

Please excuse me for the delayed reply.
There is no such thing as ideal response time, as well as there is no rule about it, this depends on your specific requirements set for the application you are testing and what you find acceptable. If one second is fine for you when you are executing a load test with 100 users and this meets your company's requirements then you are all set.
Also I am afraid that accessing your application with 100 users simultaneously is not a good practice at all, you better add slight think times between requests in order to simulate more realistic traffic. Here are some good practices about load testing which you might consider.

Thank you for the reply.

Whe are just making a studio about performance testing in my company and its viability to use it in the near future. The page you gave me was very useful to learn interesting things about load testing. Thank you again. I'll certainly come here again if I have any doubt about this.
