Hello-

My company has shut off access to the internet on the box in which I have Test Studio installed, all of my tests are against internal test environments and not "live" sites.  The issue that I'm running into is that the tool will try to phone home when I open a project, causing it to not respond and send an error that there was an issue when looking for an update.  It will also go into (not responding) when I'm running tests which will affect the results.  Is there a way to prevent the tool from trying to phone home?  I've looked through the configuration documentation and I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks, Jon

Hello Jon,

Thank you for choosing Telerik Test Studio.

Since you do not have Internet connection try to disable the option for update check on startup. It could be accessed from the welcome screen in the "Software Update" tab (please refer to the attached screenshot). This should allow you start a project successfully.

Please elaborate more on what you mean by "tests which will affect the results"? Which results do you mean?

Thank you in advance for the cooperation and I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey Elana-

Sorry for the late response.  What I'm finding is that the tool will randomly go into (Not Responding) mode when not connected to the internet.  I've seen this when running tests and also when designing load tests.

Thanks, Jon

Hello Jon,

Please let me know if that causes Test Studio to crash or it is "Not Responding" only for a while. Please enable your application log, clear it regularly and once you encounter an unexpected behavior provide us the log file. Please bear in mind that the log file is not supposed to be very large as this would harden the inspection. Also if you could find a pattern in the unexpected behavior it would be helpful for the further investigation.

Thank you in advance for the cooperation and I hope to hear from you soon.
