I tracked it down to specific crash reports pointing to a known issue. We got it addressed back in December so you can try out the latest internal build of Test Studio.

Hello Amardeep,
I don't see the latest build downloaded from your account. It is labeled 2013.2.1219. Please give it a go and let us know if it helps.
In a case of application crash you can also check the application log for the exact error than search for that on the feedback portal. This can get you to the exact problem report and you can track its status accordingly.

I'm getting the same error when I try to update the WPF Application Path via the Configure WPF Application Path screen. It occurs when trying to connect Test Studio to the latest version of my application by clicking Select Application.

I'm getting the Save Project on Error message when I try to reconfigure the WPF Application Path from an existing valid path (green check mark) to a newer version of our application. I'm launching the application via a one-click install and selecting the latest version from the Active WPF Applications section. When I click Select Application, the Save Project on Error message box is displayed, forcing me to restart Test Studio. The error does not occur if the existing application path is not valid (red x). It seems like the Configure Path option is not taking into account the fact that multiple versions of the application may exist in the user's install folder. I have MS .Net Framework 4.5.1 and the latest version of Test Studio installed. Any help with this crash error will be appreciated.

Hello Dennis,
This is a known issue. The work around is to completely shut down Test Studio, then restart it, open your test and change the WPF application path configuration.
