Hi. Just started using 2016.2.630.0. I have a test list with two test scripts, settings are to run under IE browser only. I ran the list remotely. The log has four runs listed: the two test scripts under IE and the two as SilverlightOutOfBrowser. There are not Silverlight applications associated with the system under test.
I have attached the log for the remote execution server.
Your help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Thank you for choosing Telerik Test Studio.
I reviewed the shared log file and based on the shared description of what you are facing I have few questions. Do you mean that on the remote machine there are no OOB Silverlight applications installed? If so then you shouldn't be running the respective test on this machine or you have to install the application and pass the correct path in the script. Please let me know if I have understood your query correct. Please elaborate more if needed.
Thank you in advance for the cooperation. I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi, Elena,
The applications I test are java-based. There are no Silverlight applications involved. That is why I don't unthank I should be getting Silverlight-related errors. This just started after I installed 2016.2.630.0 on my (client) machine and the execution server.

Briar,
Look at the properties for your test case, it may be set to use SilverlightOutOfBrowser as the browser type. We had numerous test cases that were set to Chrome that after the latest update were changed to use Silverlight. Also, the ones we had set to use Firefox had been changed to use Edge.
Manually updating the properties for each test seems to have corrected the problem for us.
Hi, Sam.
I did that. The browser was set to InternetExplorer and the executing browser set to ";Internet Explorer". None of the Silverlight properties were set except the SilverlightConnectTimeout which is always set by default.
I started working with a different project today. I'll see if I have the same experience and update here.
Thanks for your help!

Please let me know if there is any change since you changed the settings and the projects. If you still experience troubles collect the respective log files and provide them again. And please clarify for me if the test lists are running successfully when ran locally.
I hope to hear from you soon.

Since we got feedback from other customers in relation to your reported issue we investigated it in depth. As a result we managed to reproduce the same behavior and a bug report was submitted on our public feedback portal. Here you could follow its progress and add details if you find anything useful. Meanwhile you could try to create a new test list and double check if that way it will work as expected.
Thank you in advance for the understanding!

Elena,
Thanks for the update on this issue. I had noticed yesterday that the error did not occur with new test lists.
I appreciate your keeping me in the loop on this. Thanks again!
