Hi all,
we're using Test Studio (ultimate edition, trial version) and we're evaluating if this tool is compliant with our needs.
We are stuck in a particular record sequence: we have a Main window inside of which we have a dialog box overlapped to another one. The issue is that Telerik doesn't record the actions of the top dialog box.
Is it possible to resolve this problem?
Thank you in advance

In other words.
During the record process, I haven't issues. The sequence is reported below:
Access to Main window -> click TextBlock -> Is opened the first dialog box. On this, click TextBlock -> It is opened the second dialog
-> Click TextBlock. The sequence is correctly recorded, but when I reproduce, Telerik doesn't run the Click over the last dialog.
Thank you for contacting Telerik Support.
We assume you are talking about WPF application since recently you submitted another question related to WPF. If this is not the case, please let us know.
Did you try to Locate The Element you want to perform click action on and have you checked if the Find Expression for this element is set up properly? Would you please provide us the Step Failure Details for the faulty test so we could investigate further?
Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Yes I was talking about the wpf testing, sorry.
I attached the main window and the sequential steps involved.
The registration is: In the Main Window (1-red)(1st view dialog), I click "Save" button (2-red), and then I click on "Confirm" (3-red) (2nd view dialog).
When I have to reproduce the sequence just recorded, the "Confirm" button is correctly found (no steps are failed), but after the click on it, the 2nd dialog disappear and the choise just made is not elaborated.
Furthermore, the confirm Button is found with "Live version" feature and the suggestions are added to "Find Settings".
Thank you.

Thank you for clarifying and for the provided screenshot.
I would like to kindly ask you to try switching the click action type. From Step builder you could select Mouse Actions and choose Left Click. This functionality enables desktop command.
Select the step that misbehaves and this will highlight its target element in the elements repository. Click on the target element and then select the respective step to add from the step builder. Please, do this for the steps that you have troubles with. Then disable the recorded steps and try to execute the test with manually added steps.
However, to assist you further we need more details regarding your application. Would you please record a video of how the application behaves in general (without using Test Studio) and another one of how it behaves during execution of the recorded test. You could attach these .zipped to this thread. It would be very helpful for the investigation.
Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Thank you for the provided video.
As far as we could see your test executes with no failed steps. If we understand correctly the actual issue is that the application does not behave accordingly after executing the last `Wait Step`.
If this is the case, please keep in mind that we are not familiar what you expect to happen. Would you, please let us know how the application should behave and what is the expected result? Should the choice you made be elaborated in the same window or in another one?
I would like to kindly ask you to record another video of how the application behaves without Test Studio.
Thank you for your cooperation in advance!

Hi,
I inserted "WaitStep" because after the selecting confirm action, I expected the generation of other view..but this doesn't happen.
You can see at the end of posted recorded sequence (inside TeleriRec.zip) the re-viewing of confirm button dialog..
As attachment , I post what it must happen after confirm selection

Thank you for the provided video.
We would like to kindly ask you to turn Toggle Annotation (option 5) on. This will annotate each step and you will be able to monitor the execution process and identify if the `confirm` button is actually clicked. We will appreciate if you could provide us with a short video of this execution as well.
It seems the issue is specific for your application and cannot be reproduced without it. To be able to test further and investigate in detail what is the root cause of the issue we would like to kindly ask you if it is possible to provide us with access to the application and a sample test.
However, if this is not possible it would be helpful to schedule a meeting so we could do some testing on the application. In addition, please let us know what is the Time Zone of your location and suitable time frame for the next few days.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you.
