What structure are test lists and test results stored? I assume Test Studio has a database behind the scenes. If so, what is it and what is the database/table structure?
Would like to be able to roll up the metrics for tests passing to a project level, but the results and reports don't seem to provide this functionality.
Has anyone else used the structure to pull out results and make more meaningful reports?
Thanks,
Mike

Hеllo Mike,
It depends on how you are executing your test lists. If you are using local execution, all test results are stored in the Results folder within the project folder. They are stored as *.aiiresult files.
If you are executing your tests remotely all results are stored in the database which you need to create when setting up the scheduling functionality. You can use SQL Management Studio in order to access the database in question and refer to the Results tables (refer to the screenshot attached).

I opened a support ticket. We have a remote scheduler/storage setup. I can connect to it, however, when I click upload the results to the server it sits there for several minutes and then comes back with a successful message, but no results are in SQL and when I click Manage Results, no rows are returned.

Hello Mike,
Correct me if I am wrong, I see that your problem has been solved in a go to meeting session with Cody.
So I guess this thread can be closed?

I do have connectivity and able to upload results. I'm looking thru SQLServer to determine how the results are stored. One thing that I have not been able to decipher is with relation to the number of tests that is in a test list. For example, if you have a test list that ends up with 2 failures out of the list of 20 tests, how is that stored?

Hello Mike,
All the results from remote executions are stored in the database, however they are all encrypted. I do not understand what do you mean by the question : how is that stored?
What you are trying to achieve?

Is there a way to get this kind of information out of the
database?

Hello Mike,
If you are quite familiar with SQL i guess you can write your own queries pulling out the required information from the database. However this is not Test Studio related request.
Test studio pulls the results in the calendar and that is what we can provide as functionality. Everything else is custom solution and it is up to you on how you will implement it.
Thank you for your understanding.
