We currently use test studio for our in house WPF application. I am researching to find out if it will work with a third party application we use. The application is written in COBOL.Net and xaml for the screens. It uses a Win32 application to launch. I experimented but with no success.
Is there a way for Test studio not to launch the application but interact with a application that is open?

Not in a way that I think would be useful to you. We do have the concept of "Attach to Existing Instance", but as the description implies it's meant for recording, not test execution. If you go to execute a test list, Test Studio will always try to launch the application. We do not have a test list feature to connect to an already running instance of the application.
