Can I record a test in test studio and convert it to run with the Mobile Testing Test Runner on an iOS device? I have one that tests our mobile web version but it does it on a desktop I would like run it on the actual device. I have tried the Test Studio iOS app but found it couldn't get past our login screen and so we shelved the idea of using it for device testing.

Hello Leonard,
Unfortunately this is not possible. You should create a brand new test for mobile. However the Test Studio for iOS product will be discontinued soon so I advise you to take a look at our mobile testing in the platform using this link.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Ivaylo,
Following on Leonard question, I was looking today at the "2014 Buyer's Guide For Test Automation Tools" in your website, where its mentioned that TestStudio is suitable for mobile testing (see attached file).
If you are saying that is not possible, what is the meaning of the information in the guide? It's misleading?
Thanks,
Luis

Hi Luis,
Unfortunately this guide is outdated and does not give complete information about the current Mobile Testing features that we have. I will make sure that we update it ASAP.
The options that we offer for mobile testing at the moment are these:
1. You can use the free JavaScript framework for native, hybrid and web apps on iOS, Android and Windows Phone. You can find the documentation and the setup steps here - http://docs.telerik.com/platform/mobile-testing/overview.
2. We are currently working on a Record & Playback solution for mobile testing inside Test Studio. The first release is expected in early August and it will support Recording and Playback on native iOS applications. The next release, expected in early November will hold the same features for native Android apps. The webapp mobile testing solution in Test Studio is planned to be delivered next year.
If you have more questions or uncertainties on this matter, please contact me directly at iliyan.panchev@telerik.com and I will be happy to have a chat with you about Test Studio and our Mobile Testing roadmap.

When I go to that link and try to download the "free" mobile testing framework, I get taken to a page to start a Trial version of the Telerik Platform.
