Hello,

I was looking through the Test Studio online documentation and found a reference to a "Test Runner" UI.  There's a download link in the documentation page, but it seems to be broken.

http://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/features/test-runners/telerik-test-runner

Is this tool still available?

Thanks,
Tim

Hello
Telerik Team,

I am facing some issues which executing test studio tests from MTM.

We currently have a UI test suite with about 400+ test cases. We have been facing numerous issues when we try to execute the test studio tests from MTM.

Though all the tests are working correctly when executed locally, I get the below errors from MTM. Strangely, all the tests are in the same solution and same
.dlls. Also, the 1st step of logging into the environment is the same in all of the 3 tests, yet they run to different point through MTM and then fail. I have
verified that all the tests are present in the build folder along with the correct association.

Please could you help me in debugging this issue? Why is it that it runs until a certain point in the 3rd case, and fails in the 1st and 2nd case? Even though
the initial steps are the same?

Also, I'm not sure why it fails to find the image when run through MTM, and works fine locally. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Niharika

Hi,

In my project I am using multiple Excel sheets in the Data folder.

So I have inserted the Excel sheets in different folders inside the Data Folder.

But when I used to bind the excel sheet against the tests, the folder or Excel sheets was not displayed

Is it Possible to create New Folders in Data Folder?

If it so means, suggest me How to bind excel sheet against the tests?

Herewith I have attached you the screenshot..

Hi,

Is there an option to turn off the alphabetical sorting that automatically happens when creating new folders or tests?

I'd like to keep my folder structure consistent with my app menu options.

Thanks,

In the latest release, version 2014.4.1211.0, I am trying to highlight a table on a page, but Test Studio is only allowing me to highlight the specific element where my cursor is positioned. I can no longer highlight a table row or the table itself. With the previous version of Test Studio, the element highlighting used the blue nubs to represent different levels of the page elements. For example, the first nub represents one of the data elements in a specific table row, the second nub represents the table row, the third nub represents all the data rows and the fourth nub represents the table itself, including all the data rows, heading row, and table name. If I wanted to verify the table was present on the page, I could select the fourth nub to select the table. The new version of Test Studio no longer uses the little blue nubs, but instead throws up a menu with options related to the specific element my cursor is positioned on. Test Studio seems to assume I want the most specific and narrow definition of whatever I have my cursor on. When I position the cursor on any of the table elements, I can get the quick tasks for that specific element only. I can't get the tasks for the table row and I can't get the tasks for the table itself.

How would I highlight the whole table and not just a specific element in the table?

Hi,

When a user clicks on a cell inside a grid, the dropdown sometimes does not activate. The user will need to click again for a second time in order to be able to see the dropdown. Once the dropdown is available, the user can then click the dropdown field to view all available options.

This causes issues for user experience but also causes the test automation to fail due to the inconsistent behavior.

Is this a known issue with Kendo dropdowns inside of Kendo Grids?

Thanks,
Cody

Hello,

Happy New Year to whoever reads this!

I am looking for any information that may exist on Test Studio's support for HTML5 applications.  I am particularly interested in support for AngularJS implementations - but information on support for other frameworks would also be welcome.

Here are a few of the questions I have at this point (may have more later):
a) What is the minimum version of Test Studio that supports HTML5?  What is the recommended version?
b) Extent of support - what features does it support and what features does it not support?  Known Issues and Limitations in the features supported?
c) Any significant differences in the way UI automated tests are developed for HTML5/AngularJS apps (vs Silverlight apps)?

I have searched the forums as well as the Version History files - info seems pretty limited in those areas (let me know if I missed anything).

To my fellow users:  If you have used/are using Test Studio to write UI automated tests against a HTML5 (AngularJS or otherwise), it would be great to get your perspective on the above questions and/or any feedback on your experience that you are willing to share.

Thanks,
Shashi

Hi,

Is it possible for the tool to capture and record my actions done on my desktop? I know MTM is able to do this, but not sure if Test Studio is able to.

i.e. Copy a file into a folder, then go onto our application and use that file during the import process

I noticed currently the app does not record any actions done outside of the browser. Also, I noticed that when I open an import file popup, test studio does not record the file name I selected for import.

Thanks,
