I need a list of all Test Studio variables so that we can map their values to fields in TFS.

I'm using Visual Studio Online (VSTS) and it's creating the bug correctly, however not inserting the description of the bug into the right field in VSTS.

Please help.  Thank you.

Hello Austin,

Thank you for reaching us out.

When using custom fields to submit bugs to a bug tracker you should actually define which these should be. Please find additional details on the topic here. Please give this a try and in case you would need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me again!

Thanks for getting back.

I've reviewed the topic you've referenced before creating this discussion post.  What is not identified in the topic is a list of all Test Studio variables to use.  For example when it indicates <FieldValue>NewValue</FieldValue> it actually inserts "NewValue" as text into the field.

I am looking at the Test Studio "Description" field and how to add the values of that into another field.  What do I insert as <FieldValue>???</FieldValue>?

Thanks for your assistance?

Hello Austin,

Thank you for providing additional details for the faced difficulty.

The provided solution uses hard-coded values for the custom fields as you had noticed yourself. Unfortunately I have to admit this is the only possible implementation and you could not use the failed step result to insert any text to the custom fields. What is listed in the TFSMappings.xml file is what you could modify.

Thank you in advance for your understanding! In case of further questions please do not hesitate to get back to me.
