Hi,
I have a test where a new tab is opened, checked and should be closed. I close the new tab using "Ctrl+W"

If I run the test list with "Use Browser Extension" is True, it is work. If I run the test list with "Use Browser Extension" is False it doesn't work, the new tab stays opened.

Can you help?

Hello Gadi,

Test Studio tests handle the scenario of opening and closing a new tab during a test - it automatically records steps to connect to and then close the new page. Also these same steps work in the same manner in all supported browsers (although IE opens a new window and Edge and Chrome open a new tab).

The listed coded step seems to be any sort of workaround for covering this scenario and although it works for some cases, I will advise you to revise this part of the test and update it accordingly. Can you, please, give a try to this recommended approach of handling the popups? Let me know if you face any troubles with it?

Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Regards,
Elena
