Hi ,
I am unable to record test cases. I did go through the steps mentioned , but most folders are not same. Can you please help me with steps to record, create test cases and run the test cases.
Below error was displayed when clicked on setting and choosing android sdk location

Hi,
I tried with ios , Iphone got connected but when i clicked record it disconnects and does not record anything.
Please if you can help me.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for reaching us out.
As far as I understand you managed to successfully configure the iOS app and deploy it to the device - please correct me if I am wrong. Please also let me know if the Agent App is connected via wi-fi or you have used the usb connection?
I guess you have selected an iOS test to record and after you select the app identifier the device gets disconnected? Please let me know what is the identifier used and if it is any of the listed in the URL Scheme note? If you set any of these will you be able to record a test?
I am looking forward to hearing back from you in case of any further queries. Thanks!

Hi Elena,
Agent app is connected through usb connection. The app identifier used is the url which I want my test to record.I am not familiar with Scheme note. I guess I need XCODE , but I do not have MAC . I am working with windows.
Thanks,
Noorain
Hi Elena,
Just to let you knowI have windows and i am trying to connect to ios device for mobile testing .
Thanks,
Noorain
Please excuse me for the confusion - I didn't understand you are testing a mobile application.
Having the correct scenario now I would like to kindly ask you to verify if you have configured Test Studio for mobile testing first. Then you need to configure proxy on the device - here is how to configure that for iOS device. Then you have to connect the Web agent on device with Test Studio and install the certificate.
Once the above configuration is ready you should be able to record a web mobile test.
Please let me know of the outcome and if further assistance will be required. Thanks!

Hi Elena,
Now my question is can i test iPhone with windows desktop . I have tried performing the above process. Yet it isn't working.

Please, let me interfere into this thread as my colleague is out of the office.
I've reviewed the entire communication since the beginning of the thread, and to me It is not clear what kind of mobile applications you are going to test. Can you confirm on this, because with Test Studio for Mobile you can test mobile native, hybrid or web applications on iOS or Android devices. For each of those, there are some specific steps you need to follow and execute in order to build a correct testing environment - for more information check out our Getting started article.
With the above said, I see that Elena gave you information how to test mobile web applications.I would guess that this is not your case and you want to test a native or hybrid applications already installed on iOS device. As I understand, you have installed the required Mobile agent app to your iOS device and you can connect the agent app with Mobile testing studio using the USB connected device as it is described here.
However, when you start to record a test and specify the application the connection between iOS device and the Mobile testing studio breaks. Please, let me know if my assumption is incorrect or you're doing something different?
To address this and answer your last question, yes, you can test iPhone applications with Windows desktop but you need to ensure a couple of prerequisites which are described in the already mentioned getting started article. The only thing that you cannot do with Windows desktop and requires the use of Xcode on MacOS is the instrumentation of iOS application.
However, if the iOS developers in your team has already installed on your iOS device an instrumented version of iOS application, you will be able to record your tests agains this application on Windows desktop utilising an USB connected device.
I hope this helps. Please, let me know if you will require further assistance.

Hi Bulent,
As per you reply, its not an application which i am trying to test , it's a website which I want to test though mobile testing.
Thanks,
Noorain
Did you manage to connect the iPhone browser as explained here. If not, can you share the outcome, errors or maybe a screenshot from the device on what error you get ?
Just to remind you that connecting a device browser for automation can be done only using wi-fi and device and host machine should be on the same network.
