Is there any way to use the pass/fail result of a step as the condition for an if/else?

Hi Tory,

You can associate a simple verification step with an IF statement. Depends on the result of the verification Test Studio will execute the IF or Else branch.

Please check out this article for detailed information.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response, that wasn't what I asked though.

Do you mean to say that I cannot use the pass/fail result as the condition for an if statement?

Hi Tory,

You can use the result of the verification step as the condition for an if statement.

If the verification passes Test Studio will execute IF branch. If it fails Test Studio will execute else branch.

Here is a video demonstration.

If I am missing something please give us more detailed information about your scenario.
