Hello, Mark,
Thank you for writing.
RadCalendar has a similar look to the MS Outlook calendar. You can see the below image:
It is also possible to make the day names showing long text as Sunday, Monday, etc. if you want. However, I can see that in the provided picture there are appointments added. RadCalendar does not support this. Can you please specify what exactly you need to change from the current look of RadCalendar? Thus, I could be able to think of suitable solution.
I hope this information is useful. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

We want to give our users a Calendar to view events for each day/duration w/out having to click on each day to see what is going on, again, similar to what Outlook Calendar does (Calendar on SharePoint as well). We also want the ability to double click on that event to see more details about that event. All this information would be READ ONLY, as this information is coming form a RRS feed that we populate for our customers . W/out this feature, the RadCalendar control is kind of useless of our needs. We will have to look somewhere else. I am surprised that has not been asked for by other people

Hello, Mark,
Thank you for providing additional information. Following it, I suppose the appropriate control for you might be RadScheduler in Month view since RadCalendar is not intended to work with events. RadScheduler offers rich Outlook®-style functionality and allows working with events/appointments as you requested. More information about this can be found here: Month View - WinForms Scheduler Control - Telerik UI for WinForms
You can also check our Demo >> Scheduler examples and examine further the possibilities that this control has. Can you give it a try and let me know how it works for you.
I hope this is useful. Should you have other questions do not hesitate to contact us.
