We recently upgraded Kendo packages to fix some weird behaviors but have noticed that the styling of MenuItems and the associated arrows changed despite our CSS styles not changing. As can be observed, the arrow has gone transparent and we are unable to determine how to try to change its style to white. We are able to still change the font color and background, but the arrow remains unaffected.

A colleague implemented a fix. We had a CSS style implemented directly into the menu item for if it was selected, and we had CSS styles in a file for on-hover; both these styles implemented:
background: lightblue;
He removed one of those from the on-hover styling and it appears fixed.
Unusual because I had been changing that background to multiple colors to see what it triggered and never got a result, I had not tried simply removing it, though. I have since tried putting it back in since it got fixed and the arrow stays filled in, so can no longer replicate the issue..
