The MultiSelect component does not provide the suggestions feature available in the AutoComplete, but you can take a look at the available filtering functionality and see if it would match your needs:

Yes, you are right, but this is the optimal approach I can suggest you with the current implementation of the Multiselect.
If you wish, you can also submit a feature request for introducing suggestions in Multiselect and out Product managers will consider their implementation depending the demand for this feature:
