We've been waiting to have the in column header style of filtering which was recently released and described in this article: https://www.telerik.com/kendo-react-ui/components/grid/columns/column-menu/. One missing feature is that when you apply a filter little three dot icon in the column header isn't updated to show that the column is being filtered. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hello, Ryan,

Currently, this is not applied automatically, as the column menu is a component that can contain custom components based on the use case and the Grid is not aware of their values.

I can suggest checking this issue with the feedback on the menu and point by point response from the Grid developer for the specifics in the Column menu:

https://github.com/telerik/kendo-react/issues/28#issuecomment-434272831

I can suggest also sharing your feedback in the GitHub issue, as this will help us collect more data and improve the component.

Regards,
Stefan
