Hello,
I have a RadContextMenu specified in the properties of my RadListview and the fist right click will display the context menu just fine, but it doesn't have the focus. Meaning when I mouse over it, the items don't get selected and you cant click on it. When I right click again, the menu works as expected. Meaning it gets the mouse over events and highlights as expected.... Which is to say the first right click always results in a menu that is not usable. Subsequent context menus work just fine... its bizarre. Also, if i don't specify the context menu via the property and display it manually with code, it does the same thing. So weird.
I've attached a small picture that shows the mouse over the menu. You can see no menu item is highlighted.
Thanks for reading,
Michael.

Hello Michael,
Based on your information I have attached a RadContextMenu both to RadListView and to RadListControl. I have also changed the Theme to VisualStudio2012Dark as in your case (based on the screenshot).
However, every time that I open the RadContextMenu and hover over an item, the hover state is displayed correctly and I can select the item as you can see in the attached .GIF file. As mentioned above I have also tested different scenarios with RadListControl but without replicating the behavior on your end. Am I missing something?
Can you please modify the project that I have attached in order to reproduce the problem so we can investigate further?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Dimitar,
I can't open the form in your project because I do not have the same version installed as you. I'm on version 2019.3.1022.40 if that helps.
Thanks again,
Michael.
I just installed some .net updates and rebooted after a few weeks of uptime with Visual Studio 2019 running the entire time... of course it doesn't repro now. You know how things get weird after VS has been running for a while, maybe thats all it was? I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if I can reproduce it in a test app in the future.
Feel free to close this one out. Thank you for your time, though.
Michael.
Hello Michael,
I am glad that everything worked out for you after the .NET updates. In order to run the project that I have attached you will have to delete the "licenses.licx" file that I have left there by mistake. After a Clean and Rebuild of the project it should work as expected.
If you manage to reproduce the issue again please don't hesitate to contact us.

I am still unable to observe the same behavior even with the Demo application when launching it for the first time. Please refer to the attached gif file illustrating the behavior on my end. Am I missing something?
Have you tried to replicate the problem with the sample project that my colleague, Dimitar, previously provided? Is the issue reproducible there?
Are you performing any additional actions when the drop down is opened for the first time in your project? For example, focusing another control or application.
Without replicating the issue locally, it wouldn't be easy to determine what causes the undesired behavior and provide an appropriate solution accordingly.
Have you tried to test the same behavior on another computer? Is the issue observed there as well or it is reproducible only on your machine? Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
I am looking forward to your reply.
