selects an index of the combo column and does not take the value

According to the provided brief information I can not determine what causes this behavior on your end. Can you please elaborate? The CreateCell event fires when a cell needs to be created and is most often used to replace the CellElement if the case requires any custom cell to be used. Can you please demonstrate the exact setup that you currently have? 

It would be of great help if you could provide a simplified project demonstrating the undesired behavior when selecting an index from the combobox column. Thus, we could be able to investigate the problem and assist you further. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
