Hello Niharika,

I see that you have activated a Test Studio Ultimate Trial and you do not need to install the Testing Framework. That said, you can use Test Studio Ultimate for Web, WPF and Mobile applications.

I understand that you want to test against a Winform application, but unfortunately, this is not supported by our product.

Thank you for your understanding.

Is it still not supported? And will it be in the (near) future?

Hello Ger,

We are actually working on a new test type, called Desktop test. It will cover different kinds of application outside of web and WPF. This includes Winforms applications and other Windows desktop applications. The release of this new feature is coming sometime in the autumn of 2022 and we will continue to evolve it throughout the next year.

Thank you for your question.

Great! Can you make me aware about the release date when the feature is finished?

Gerko

Of course, Gerco. We added your account to a list of customers that are interested in this feature and we will notify you via email when it is released. It will be a basic version of the Desktop test type, but you will be able to record and execute tests and check if it works well with your application.

We will appreciate your feedback, once you start using the new Desktop test, so we can continue to evolve it and cover our customers' scenarios.
