I created a script that uses databinding. When i am trying to run the script, the script passes sometimes, but there are times it fails for no apparent reason. It looks as if the element was not found by the script only in a certain iteration.

For example, if i have 5 iterations for the same script, 4 of them might pass but one of them would fail. I am not able to figure out why that is happening.

Trying to both understand the tool and figure out best way to test things like our line charts.  would like to be able to verify that a datapoint exists at an x,y coordinate but cannot figure out how to setup as test step.  Has anyone done this?

I want to run my test studio tests against all browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox & Safari). Being able to clear the cookies before each test is a must but this option is not currently available for Safari. Does anyone have a workaround?

We updated our Test Studio from version 2012.1.411 to 2012.1.719. None of our 'old' projects can be openend now. After clicking on a project to load the following error appears:

Can telerik team to explain on attached chart..?? If you guys can provide bench mark amounts for the selected counters that will be easier  for us to study this chart with counters..

 Query No 01:- Log file doesn’t provide enough information for us.

 Scenario:-  I am passing some values through web service as a request and taking a response (output) through web service according to my insert(request). Request sends in xml format and Response comes in xml(xml will open in the browser). I could successfully recorded Request part with all steps. Log file displayed all steps and data of the Request when I was executing(run) the automation script. I could successfully received the response after I executed the automation script(Request part). Problems are as follows.

1.  01.  Log file did not consist with any information regarding RESPONSE even automation script(request) had successfully executed. We expect your explanation on this. Simply we need to see how the details of response are displayed in the log. These are the kind of major information we expect.

1. 02.   Are there any way to automate the RESPONSE…??If it is not how to overcome this issue and give your suggestions.

 

Note:- I am currently using web test project in Test Studio2012.2.

Hi,
 I finished recording my script and now would like to make some cosmetic changes. I changed the Selection Text by clicking on the expand button on a step and modified the selectdropdownby from "ByValue" to "ByText" and also modified the SelectionText from a particular value to a general label. I would like to use labels as it would give a brief description of the text field. After i saved the test, i still see that the selection text in the step did not change but when looking at the properties, the selection text is changed to the new value.

Can you please let me know if i need to make any other change to modify the selection text of a step?

Test Studio does not allow you to test for a non existent DOM

Which makes testing for security certificate page  difficult.

My approach is to use a logical condition (if...else)



However, this only works when the page is displayed. If the page is not displayed essentially the step fails regardless what ever the else statement says.

To get around the failing else I use the "Continue on Failure "

There must be a better way. I have looked at coding but the same issue persists.

Any suggestions?

Just updated to the latest version, ran my suite and 9 tests failed, on checking the failures I noticed that non of them had the image captured at time of failure. See attached.

When using SQL to store the results of a load test (Reporter Database Connection), I know the SQL server needs to atleast be a SQL 2008 R2 machine. Can you also store the results on a SQL 2012 machine?
