TreeList: Custom headerCell --> how to get columnMenu to show?

I can't seem to find the ColumnMenu component from the cellProps provided for the headerCell prop for a TreeList column. I would like to utilize a custom headerCell but also show the column menu.

Currently there is a limitation for using custom headerCell in combination with a columnMenu and we have logged issue for this in our repository:

I have increased the severity of the issue, so it can be handled in more timely manner.

As of R2 2023, the default icon type will be SVG instead of Font. See this blogpost for more information.

I appreciate it, Konstantin! I wish Kendo's TreeList component was as robust as your Grid component. It saves me a lot of time at the beginning of projects, but I end up spending more time customizing it and looking for workarounds compared to the Grid. Thank you for raising the severity of the issue - I think many people would run into this bug when working with a customized TreeList.

Hi Janki,

We do try to have as much similarities between the Grid and the TreeList as possible, but most of the features implementations is prioritized based on the demand. Nevertheless, this particular problem with the custom headerCell is critical and this is why I have set the highest severity in the public issue, so the developers team can add it to the immediate tasks.
