For the feature request about ColumnSpan to be used with column footers, could you describe what is the exact scenario you want to achieve (attach an image of the use-case)? In general, the footer is applied to a concrete column. This is by design and control's implementation. All properties available for columns are described here: https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/maui/controls/datagrid/columns/overview
About the status message - you could use DataGrid Aggregates. They add a row in the DataGrid and you can display any custom message you want. I am sending you a link to our example: Aggregates Example. I am attaching an image as well to see the result from the example. You can also apply style to the aggregates: DataGrid Aggregates Styling.
Let me know if this works for you. I am looking forward to your answer.
