Is it possible add Visual Studio 2012 Blue theme? (exist only light and dark)

Or another idea, in WPF exists Visual Studio 2013 themes (light, blue, dark)

https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/wpf/styling-and-appearance/themes-suite/common-styling-appearance-visualstudio2013-theme

Is it possible add/convert these themes also to WinForms?

Hello,

Currently, there is no VisualStudioBlue theme in the WinForms suite. And the WPF theme cannot be converted. This is why I have added a feature request for this in our Feedback Portal. You can track its progress, subscribe to status changes and add your comment to it here. I have also updated your Telerik Points.

You can check the new Crystal and Fluent themes in our demo application (they use blue accent color as well): Getting Started.

Should you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks,

i try all themes, also Crystal & Fluent but i don't like them :-) Maybe it's good take inspiration of new 2017 releases and not spend time on old Visual Studio themes. Also updated Office themes are good idea too ;)

btw, when we talk about themes, why ControlDefault (basic) theme is "old blue" and doesn't look like "normal" .NET theme? :-) Is there some way to force/disable it for pure .NET look?

Hello,

The provided feedback is greatly appreciated. To be honest, we have been thinking about assigning another theme as the default one for the control in the Telerik UI for WinForms in order to follow the latest modern design. However, it would have a great impact on the existing projects of our customers. That is why we are still using the ControlDefault theme.

You can refer to the following KB article explaining in details whether it is possible to obtain the controls with no theme: https://www.telerik.com/support/kb/winforms/details/radcontrols-with-no-themes-radcontrols-with-replaced-controldefault-theme

I hope this information helps. If you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me.

I think it's good idea follow latest modern design.. Maybe it's good create e.g. ControlDefault2015 (current old blue theme) for compatibility and ControlDefault will be always latest new design theme. If some customer want still use old design, they add just reference to ControlDefault2015 and use it normally as theme (just two steps: add reference, add one code line to app initialization or do it in design). So we we don't loose anything and all customers are happy :-)

The Blue theme is now part of Visual Studio 2012 Update 4, and is no longer included as part of the extension as of version 2.3. Please ensure VS Update 4 is installed if you want to update the extension while continuing to use the Blue theme.

Hello, Figueroa,

Thank you for sharing this information with the community.

This thread is more related to a feature request for a Visual Studio Blue theme for the Telerik UI for WinForms suite which will be considered in the future improvement of the suite.
